Learning Goals

• Can show visitors around and give a detailed description of a place.
• Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
• Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
• Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Procedure

• The course book contents will be given to students as a photocopy on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and includes a detailed description of the course components.
• The book can also be bought if students wish to have materials in advance.
• Recommended is the purchase of an B2 reading book.
• Relevant vocabulary will be repeated weekly.
• Written assignments will be given and it is expected that they will be completed weekly.
• All participants will be encouraged to interact in conversation.
  Students in the course will be asked to make suggestions to focus on topics which are relevant to their job.
